概要

Towards Wholeness explores the intersection of psychology, theology, and spirituality. In a fragmented world, we inherit stories that shape our identity, faith, and mental health—for better or worse. This podcast creates space to question those narratives, deconstruct stigma, and explore truth in community. Through conversation, reflection, and thoughtful inquiry, we seek a more integrated way of being where belief, belonging, and wellbeing reinforce one another.Dan Jennings 心理学 心理学・心の健康 衛生・健康的な生活

  • Boundaries, Evil, Grace & Love
    2026/03/09

Healthy communities must hold a difficult tension. They must name evil honestly, set boundaries that protect the vulnerable, and still refuse to reduce people to the worst thing they’ve done.

In this episode, psychotherapist Dan Jennings reflects on the relationship between boundaries, evil, grace, and love. Drawing on trauma-informed thinking and his experience working with people who have been hurt and written off, he explores why compassion without boundaries can enable harm—and why boundaries without grace can turn into exile.

The challenge for any healthy community is learning how to protect people from harm while still leaving open the possibility of healing and transformation.

  • How I got here.
    2025/12/11

In this first episode of Towards Wholeness, host Dan Jennings shares the story behind the podcast—how a childhood obsession with taking things apart evolved into a lifelong practice of deconstructing stories, systems, and beliefs.

Dan reflects on the loss that ruptured his world, the unexpected grace that dismantled his certainty, and the years of study in theology, psychology, and philosophy that helped him rebuild a gentler, more relational way of understanding God, people, and meaning.

    You’ll hear how:

    • Grace shattered a tidy faith system and opened the way to relational, embodied theology
    • Psychology reframed behaviour as adaptation, communication, and protection
    • Constructivism revealed the stories we inherit—and how they shape our sense of self
    • Shalom became a compass, guiding Dan’s therapeutic work and the heart of this podcast
    • The stories meant to protect us can later confine us—until we learn how to take them apart with compassion

This episode invites you into a deeper kind of curiosity:

What stories formed you? Which still protect you? Which keep you small?

    Welcome to Towards Wholeness.

    Let’s practice truth in community.

    Let’s walk towards wholeness—together.
