Eighteen years ago, Donna Kshir was hired as a freelance writer to tell the life story of an MMA fighter with a violent and turbulent past. She signed a contract. She did her job. She wrote the story she was given.

What she didn’t know was that the story wasn’t true.

He refused to use a professional editor. Instead, he handed the manuscript to his then-girlfriend. The book was cut down without her consent. Vital details were removed. Context disappeared. Truth was reshaped. His lies became her lies. His half-truths became her half-truths.

When you sign a contract, you are bound by it. She honored hers. But after publication, she learned the man she trusted had fabricated much of his past—and the backlash followed her.

For nearly two decades, She's endured harassment and accusations, labeled as the writer of a fake story that was never truly hers to control.

Today, she is finally speaking out.

Donna Kshir shares details of her upcoming release, FALLEN STAR: Author, Activist, Murderer. She tells about who Star Myers was, their friendship, her turbulent life of abuse, bad relationships, drugs, and alcohol, and the senseless killing of Star’s husband, Richard Lee Bork, which still has Donna and Editor/Co-Author Lee Cougardawn Roberts in disbelief.

PA HB849 Session 2025-2026 is on its way to the House of Representatives, sponsored by PA State Representative Aaron Bernstine. Donna Kshir shares a few words on the journey and gives thanks to those who supported her along the way.

PA State Rep Aaron Bernstine thanks Donna Kshir, Lee Roberts and Laurie Ann Smith for the years they spent advocating for the rights of children. Rep. Bernstine shares the email he received from Donna in August 2024 presenting him with her idea of a public child abuse registry. Donna and best friend Lee Cougardawn Roberts spent 9 years petitioning for a public child abuse registry in Pennsylvania. The idea came to Donna as she was working on Conner's Law - Kentucky. Ronald Saunders ll tortured and killed 2 year old Conner Bachauss. He served 5.5 years in prison for Conner's death. A month after being released from prison Ronald would abuse yet another child. It was then Donna thought if there was a public database like Megan's Law but for violent offenders convicted of child abuse -- it could be used as a tool to prevent child abuse. One could look it up to see if someone had ever been convicted of a violent crime against a child before getting involved with them, inviting them into their home or getting into a relationship with them. That information could be used protect children and ultimately save lives.

Currently, Rep. Bernstine created a bill known as PA HB 849 2025-2026 Regular Session.
