People have been talking about video in podcasting as a necessity since YouTube announced its intention to make podcasting its pet-project.

BUT its just not that simple...

I want to unpack a couple of discussions and arguments about video for podcasting that are thrown around a lot, and need a bit of unpacking. Social media comment threads are terrible ways to discuss both sides of a topic.
