  • Episode 286: Reward or Self-Sabotage
    2026/06/24

A very wise woman during one of the weekly online support groups on the BariAftercare Facebook page bravely shared a story about how she had rewarded herself with highly processed, non-nutritious food after a stressful day she’d had. She then courageously acknowledged that she had engaged in self-sabotaging behavior and had called it a reward. This opened up a great conversation that I thought would be helpful to podcast listeners! So listen and learn!

  • Episode 285: Internalized Weight Stigma
    2026/06/17

I doubt anyone listening to this podcast would argue that weight stigma, also called weight bias, or more crudely known as fat shaming, is wrong. Inexcusable. Not okay – no matter what. We collectively feel outrage about fat shaming on social media, in boardrooms or in the classrooms. What then, do you think about, and how do you feel about the internalized weight stigma, weight bias, fat shaming that takes place in your own head – about yourself. This episode will get you thinking about how you likely shame yourself about having a disease … and how you may even participate in stigmatizing others who have the disease of obesity. You’ll want to listen to every bit of this episode!

The Weight Loss Winformation Podcast gives you essential psychological information to help you lose weight and more importantly, to help keep you at a healthy weight for your body! No matter how you are working to lose weight and no matter how much weight you want to lose, Weight Loss Winformation will keep you moving in a positive direction.
