Every coach gives women the same advice for fat loss: eat less, stay in a deficit. For a woman with Type 1, that advice works against you. In this episode I break down why.
When you cut calories, your sugar drops, you correct the low with fast sugar, and those calories come right back. So to hold the deficit you end up cutting the only things left — your protein and your fats — the exact things your body needs for muscle, hormones, sleep, and a calm nervous system. More cravings. A race to the bottom you can't win.
I walk through the two-part fix: first, getting your blood sugar steadier so you're forced into fewer corrections, and second — the non-negotiable — raising how much you burn with smart strength and interval training, so your body loses fat without you starving it.
Send me a DM on Instagram 'PROTOCOL' for my free training protocol to raise your burn and lose the fat — without the race to the bottom.
