概要

In this episode, Maya sits down with author, speaker, and ministry leader Tiffany Bluhm, director of the Made for PAX Fellowship, for a conversation about faith, history, and the courageous witness of women.

Together they explore what it means to be historically formed as Christians — not only understanding the Bible and church history, but also the global histories that shape the places we live, worship, and minister today. Maya and Tiffany discuss how Christianity continues to live in the shadow of imperialism and colonization, and why acknowledging those histories is essential for faithful discipleship in our current cultural moment.

The conversation also turns to Tiffany's book, The Women We've Been Waiting For, which highlights the long tradition of women who have carried the communal call of the gospel — often in the face of resistance, exclusion, or silence. Drawing on both history and personal experience, Tiffany challenges women today to move beyond individual self-care toward communal care, courageous leadership, and a willingness to confront harmful or abusive leadership — even when it comes from within Christian institutions.

This episode is a timely reflection on women's leadership, historical awareness, and faithful resistance. It asks an important question for the Church today: what does it look like to honor the women who carried the gospel before us — and to become the women the next generation is waiting for?

Our culture is constantly changing around us. A new story, new song, or new idea is being tweeted, posted or published every other minute. As the world changes rapidly around us, how do we respond? How do we stay rooted in our faith amidst a myriad of conversations? How do we stay grounded in truth when so much in the media is manipulated? How do we talk about our beliefs in a culture that may not feel the same way?

Conversations about faith and culture meet right here on Teaology, the podcast. Teaology is all about communities coming together through conversation. We find common ground when we communicate well.
