概要
Labs don't experience life. Humans do.
If the numbers improve but the person in front of you doesn't… Have you actually done anything?
Dr. Z and Ashley R. get into one of the most overlooked problems in both traditional medicine and FM 1.0: letting lab data replace clinical thinking. The chart always tells the truth, right? Wrong. The patient's lived experience is the ultimate source of truth. And building a practice that gets real, lasting results means treating the human — not managing the report.
What you’ll find inside the episode:
- FM 1.0 confused data with healing. Better labs don't automatically mean a better patient, and chasing numbers while the person in front of you suffers is just a fancier version of the same broken model.
- Your patient is also your customer. In private practice, there's no insurance safety net and no physician-god dynamic. If they don't experience real change, they leave.
- Sometimes patients feel better before labs catch up. Sometimes labs improve before the patient does. N=1 always. Protocol thinking will get you in trouble fast.
- Meet them where they are. Complex, depleted patients need early wins before they'll trust you through the hard parts. Palliative-first isn't giving up on root cause — it's smart sequencing.
- When patients start to own how their body talks to them, the vision expands. They came in about acne. Suddenly, they're asking about fatigue and hair loss. That's what real healing looks like.
If you’re quietly thinking, “Yep… this old model is breaking me,” you’re not alone.
FM2 is where clinicians go when they’re done pretending the current system is fine.
Private community. Real implementation. Zero performative BS.
