概要

Are you exhausted by a wellness industry that sells certainty, perfection, and quick fixes — while leaving you more disconnected from yourself than ever?

That frustration is exactly why I became a health coach and founded Hyperbaric House in Manchester: a private Hyperbaric Oxygen, Red Light, and PEMF clinic offering intimate wellness workshops alongside yoga, breathwork, and meditation. Not to create followers. Not to position myself as a guru. But to help people come back to themselves. Because your body isn’t broken — and you don’t need someone else to “fix” you.

We’ve been taught to outsource our health, intuition, and power. This space exists to challenge that narrative. You are the expert in your own well-being. Always have been, always Fing will be.

A Glass with Bird is a podcast spotlighting people working at ground level, either helping themselves or others— individuals and businesses creating real change, real impact, and real community. Through honest, unfiltered conversations, we explore purpose-driven work, conscious living, and what it actually means to support wellbeing in a world obsessed with surface-level solutions.

  • Episode 1 – Welcome to Your Own Life
    2026/03/21
Episode 1 – Welcome to Your Own Life

Welcome to the very first episode of A Glass with Bird.

This podcast is a space to slow down, pour yourself a drink, and reconnect with the one voice we often stop listening to — our own.

In this opening episode, we explore the quiet ways we drift away from ourselves in everyday life. Not through big dramatic moments, but through small habits like ignoring our instincts, saying yes when we mean no, and pushing our own needs to the bottom of the list.

Episode 1 is about recognising those moments and beginning the gentle journey back to yourself.

Because coming home to yourself doesn’t happen through huge life changes overnight. It starts with noticing.

This episode is also part of Podcasthon, a global initiative where podcasters dedicate an episode to supporting a charity they care about.

For this episode, Bird is supporting Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA).

SEA works to raise awareness of economic abuse and support people whose finances and independence have been controlled or restricted by someone else. Economic abuse often happens alongside other forms of abuse, and many people don’t realise it has a name.

Their work helps survivors rebuild financial safety, independence, and confidence.

If this episode resonates with you, please consider taking a moment to learn more about their work and support them if you can.

    In This Episode

    • Why many of us slowly disconnect from ourselves

    • How everyday choices can lead to self-abandonment

    • The power of noticing your own needs and instincts again

    • A simple reflection exercise to start reconnecting with yourself

    Sip & Do – This Week’s Reflection

    Ask yourself these three questions:

    1. What have I been doing lately that doesn’t actually feel good to me?
    2. What have I been ignoring in myself — my needs, feelings, or instincts?
    3. If I truly listened to myself, what might I do differently this week?

Choose one small action that honours yourself.

    Tiny steps count.

    Support the Charity

Learn more about Surviving Economic Abuse and the work they do to support survivors of economic abuse.

If you’re able, please consider sharing their work, donating, or simply spreading awareness.
