  • 134. Dan McLaughlin & Justin Reid + Gurpreet Singh + Nancy Ross & Linda Street (Radio Sessions 04/11/26)
    2026/04/11

The Radio Sessions are extended conversations of interviews heard on my Saturday morning radio show on Shoreline Classics FM.

There's so much happening right now and a lot of it is in support of one of my favourite causes, the AMGH Foundation's Magnetic Moments campaign to bring MRI technology to the Goderich Hospital, a cause I think we all agree is an important one. As serious as the acquisition of that technology is, we are finding a lot of really fun ways to raise the money needed to make it happen. One of those ways is an event called Rock The Range and my friends Dan McLaughlin and Justin Reid are here to talk about that.

Also in this episode, we will chat with Gurpreet Singh about the Vaisakhi Celebration coming up soon, a wonderful afternoon of Indian food, dancing and more ... and again, in support of Magnetic Moments.

And also on the show today, a couple of old friends, Nancy Ross and Linda Street to chat about the Kincardine Brass Band & MacKay Choristers big Spring concert, Walking on Sunshine!

  • 132. Kate Johnston & Will Kernohan + John Powers (Radio Sessions 03/28/26)
    2026/03/28

In this episode, an old friend, a new friend and one of my favourite causes meet up! Kate Johnston and Will Kernohan are here to chat about a new play called “Every Brilliant Thing” that will raise money to support the AMGH Foundation’s “Magnetic Moments” campaign.

Also ... If you’ve left your house at all in recent years, there’s a good chance you might have seen this guy play some music. From local restaurants and pubs, to the BIA Concert Series to many special events in the area, John Powers is a busy guy. We're happy to have a chance to chat with him about balancing family/work/music ... and we will play you the title song from John’s new album, "Everyone’s A Critic."

  • 131. Susan Somers + Rick Vaive + Tanya Masanovets (Radio Sessions 03/21/26)
    2026/03/21

The Radio Sessions are extended conversations of interviews heard on my Saturday morning radio show on Shoreline Classics FM.

Up first this week is Susan Somers, a Nurse Practitioner who is here to continue our series on the AMGH Foundation’s “Magnetic Moments” campaign to bring MRI technology to Huron County. Susan reminds us just how important this technology can be and shares a couple of personal stories with us.

Next I’ll share a chat that I had with former Toronto Maple Leaf captain and all-star Rick Vaive that we recorded on Monday when he was in town with the Maple Leaf's Alumni for Young Canada Week.

And the pod wraps this week with a clip from another podcast that my wife and I have been involved with, Huron County Economic Development’s, “Life on the Coast.” I wanted to share a quick clip of a conversation I had with Tanya Masanovets, who with her family escaped war torn Ukraine to settle in Exeter.

  • 127. The Goderich Chronicles - E3 - Colleen Maguire
    2026/02/16

Next year in 2027, Goderich will celebrate its bi-centennial. In preparation, we’re happy and proud to present The Goderich Chronicles, a limited series on the history of the town and the stories of a few long time residents.

Episode 3 features a lady I've known for a very long time, at least since the 80's but probably longer than that because she's just one of those people that everyone seems to have known ... forever.

A long time employee of the hospital, a photographer, actor, historian, chronic volunteer, lover of life and it turns out, after my marriage a few years ago, a relative of mine!

In this episode we’ll get to know more about Colleen Maguire. We'll have her share some of her wealth of knowledge of our town's history and hopefully, we can shine a light on a few incredible woman from our past.
