  • Why Blue Jays Fans Are Right to Be Upset 😤 + UFC 327 & Wilder Chaos
    2026/04/08

The Blue Jays' season is still young… but the frustration is already real.

In this episode of Couch Potato Diary, I open with an honest rant about the Jays’ slow start and why being frustrated doesn’t mean you think the team is bad. It just means expectations are higher.

Then we shift to combat sports with a Fight Night First Look at UFC 327, including a huge opportunity in the light heavyweight division with the title now vacated.

Finally, I break down one of the strangest heavyweight fights in recent memory as Deontay Wilder takes on Derek Chisora in a chaotic, high-level bout that didn’t go the way anyone expected.

    • Intro (0:00)
    • Why Blue Jays fans have every right to be frustrated (0:59)
    • UFC 327 Fight Night First Look (10:09)
    • Wilder vs Chisora recap (and why it got weird) (15:04)
    • Outro (23:55)

  • Blue Jays Bounce Back + NHL Eastern Playoff Race Heats Up | Couch Potato Diary Diary Entries
    2026/04/01

Bringing back the original plan for the podcast. Diary Entries is where I go through my notebook after a night of watching sports and break down exactly what I saw, just honest reactions from a night on the couch.

The Blue Jays bounced back against the Rockies, and there were some encouraging signs worth talking about heading into what should be a big stretch of the season.

Then the NHL Eastern Conference playoff race got a lot more interesting. Montreal beating Tampa Bay is a result with real implications for how the East is going to shake out with less than a month to go. Pittsburgh handled Detroit. Buffalo picked up a massive win over the Islanders that keeps their playoff push very much alive. A quick thought on a frustrating Raptors loss to the Pistons that should not have happened. And Carolina doing what Carolina does to close out a win over Columbus.

A lot of ground covered. A lot of notebook pages are filled.

  • Blue Jays 2026 Season Preview: Pitching Staff Breakdown + Best Bets
    2026/03/27

The Toronto Blue Jays season is here, and the expectations are sky high. In this episode of Couch Potato Diary, Peter Klein breaks down the biggest strength of this team — the pitching staff — and why it could be the key to a deep postseason run.

Even with early injuries to Jose Berrios, Shane Bieber, and others, the Jays still roll out a deep and dangerous rotation led by Kevin Gausman and Dylan Cease. Peter dives into why Cease could be in for one of the best seasons of his career, how Pete Walker continues to get the most out of his arms, and why the overall depth of this staff is something Toronto hasn’t had in years.

The bullpen gets some attention as well, including whether Jordan Romano can bounce back and how a more balanced group could keep everyone fresh deep into the season.

Then, it’s time for best bets. Peter looks at player props for Daulton Varsho and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., makes the case for a strong season from Toronto in the win column, and highlights where the betting market might be underrating this team heading into 2026.

If you’re optimistic about the Blue Jays this season, this episode will tell you why that belief might be justified.
