  • 20. The Water Weight Mindf*ck Explained
    2026/04/11

In this quick 10-minute episode, I'm explaining why the scales jumped up 3 pounds overnight even though you did everything right - spoiler: it's not fat gain.

I break down all the factors that affect water weight and the number on the scales - temperature, stress, sleep, hormones, salt intake, food volume in your digestive system. I can literally eat the same meal two days in a row and weigh differently both days because of these external factors.

I share the mental checklist I get my scale-obsessed clients to run through before they step on the scales each morning, so they can manage their expectations and stop panicking. I also explain the "whoosh effect" - when your weight stays stable for 3-4 weeks then suddenly drops 5lbs all at once.

The key takeaway? You need 4 weeks of perfect consistency before you should even consider worrying about the scales not moving. Daily fluctuations are completely normal and tell you absolutely nothing about whether you're actually losing fat.

If daily weigh-ins are messing with your head and causing panic, it's time to put the scales away and measure progress in other ways. The number on the scales is one measurement - not the whole story.

  • 19. Who Are You Accountable To? If It's Not Yourself - You're Doing It Wrong.
    2026/04/04

In this episode, I'm calling out something everyone thinks they need: accountability partners. Spoiler - they don't work long-term, and I'm going to tell you why.

I share my own accountability graveyard - from gym buddies who didn't show up (so I didn't either) to app streaks that caused me so much anxiety I'd spiral when I inevitably missed a day. The problem? I was relying on external accountability instead of building internal discipline.

Here's what I see with clients all the time: they join 8-week or 12-week programs, get accountability from a coach or group, see some results... then the program ends and they have absolutely no idea what to do next. No one taught them how to be accountable to themselves.

I break down why external accountability creates dependency, not discipline. Why motivation is unreliable (I'm motivated maybe 2 out of 10 gym sessions, but I still show up). And how my coaching approach is designed to make myself redundant - building you up to be accountable to yourself, not reliant on me forever.

If you've been waiting for someone else to keep you on track, this episode will challenge you to build the internal discipline that actually creates lasting results.

Because the only accountability that matters long-term? The accountability you have to yourself.

  • 15. Why Listening To Your Body Is Terrible Advice Because Your Body Is A Liar!
    2026/03/14

    “Just listen to your body.”

It’s one of the most common pieces of advice in the health and fitness world… but for many people starting a weight loss or health journey, it can actually lead you in the wrong direction.

In this episode, I explain why our hunger cues are often shaped by years of habits, stress, emotional eating and routine – which means the signals your body sends you aren’t always accurate.

I share my own experience of how a change in routine completely disrupted my eating habits, and why even someone who coaches nutrition can still struggle with false hunger signals. I also talk about what commonly happens in the first few weeks of a calorie deficit, when your body reacts to change and hunger suddenly feels overwhelming.

    We also cover:

    • Why boredom, stress and habits can feel like hunger
    • How stress triggers cravings and dopamine-driven eating
    • Why thirst is often mistaken for hunger
    • What I see with clients during the first few weeks of coaching
    • Why intuitive eating is the goal – but not the starting point

If you’ve ever felt like your body is constantly telling you to eat, this episode will help you understand what’s really going on and how to rebuild trust with your hunger cues.

  • 13. Goal Weight Is a Lie And Why I Had to Climb a Mountain To Realise It
    2026/02/28

Most people think reaching their goal weight is the finish line.

    It isn’t.

In this episode, I break down why fat loss and weight loss maintenance are completely different skill sets — and why so many women regain the weight after dieting.

After climbing Ben Nevis in brutal weather (and reaching a foggy summit with no “reward” view), I realised something powerful: the outcome isn’t the point. The journey is.

And weight loss works the same way.

    If you’ve ever:

    • Hit your goal weight and still felt unsettled

    • Regained weight after a diet

    • Struggled with maintenance after fat loss

    • Felt stuck in a cycle of dieting and starting again

This episode will shift your perspective.

    We talk about:

    • Why goal weight is only the halfway point

    • The psychology of weight loss vs maintenance

    • How to keep weight off long term

    • Why weight fluctuations are normal

    • Building sustainable habits instead of quick fixes

    • Moving from “diet mode” to lifestyle change

    • Becoming the person who can maintain results

Sustainable weight loss isn’t about chasing a number on the scales.
It’s about building habits you can live with for years.

If you want long-term fat loss results — not another short-term transformation — this episode is for you.

    People who want:

    • Sustainable weight loss

    • Fat loss without extreme dieting

    • To stop regaining weight

    • Long-term health and fitness results

    • Confidence beyond the scales
