概要

Our culture is constantly changing around us. A new story, new song, or new idea is being tweeted, posted or published every other minute. As the world changes rapidly around us, how do we respond? How do we stay rooted in our faith amidst a myriad of conversations? How do we stay grounded in truth when so much in the media is manipulated? How do we talk about our beliefs in a culture that may not feel the same way? Conversations about faith and culture meet right here on Teaology, the podcast. Teaology is all about communities coming together through conversation. We find common ground when we communicate well. キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 哲学 社会科学 聖職・福音主義

  • Embodied Healing in Motherhood with Jazmon Bradley
    2026/04/06

This week on the Teaology Podcast, Maya is joined by Jazmon Bradley for an honest and deeply grounding conversation on embodied healing and motherhood.

Together, they explore what it means to follow Jesus with your whole self—integrating the mind, body, soul, and spirit—especially in a season that stretches you as deeply as motherhood.

They talk about how childhood wounds can resurface in parenting, navigating postpartum depression, and learning to care for your body while tending to your spiritual life. Jazmon also shares her experience of giving birth during the pandemic, and we unpack what intercessory prayer, deliverance, and miracles can look like in real, everyday life.

This conversation speaks to the often unseen weight mothers carry and the invitation to healing that doesn't disconnect us from our bodies, but brings us back into them.

If you've been longing for a more integrated, embodied faith, this episode is for you. Stay tuned for more of our motherhood series this month!

  • Why the Church Needs Women Who Resist with Tiffany Bluhm
    2026/03/16

In this episode, Maya sits down with author, speaker, and ministry leader Tiffany Bluhm, director of the Made for PAX Fellowship, for a conversation about faith, history, and the courageous witness of women.

Together they explore what it means to be historically formed as Christians — not only understanding the Bible and church history, but also the global histories that shape the places we live, worship, and minister today. Maya and Tiffany discuss how Christianity continues to live in the shadow of imperialism and colonization, and why acknowledging those histories is essential for faithful discipleship in our current cultural moment.

The conversation also turns to Tiffany's book, The Women We've Been Waiting For, which highlights the long tradition of women who have carried the communal call of the gospel — often in the face of resistance, exclusion, or silence. Drawing on both history and personal experience, Tiffany challenges women today to move beyond individual self-care toward communal care, courageous leadership, and a willingness to confront harmful or abusive leadership — even when it comes from within Christian institutions.

This episode is a timely reflection on women's leadership, historical awareness, and faithful resistance. It asks an important question for the Church today: what does it look like to honor the women who carried the gospel before us — and to become the women the next generation is waiting for?

  • Immigration, ICE & The Church | What Faithful Witness Looks Like with Jasmin Sosa
    2026/03/09

In this episode, Maya sits down with Jasmin Sosa for an urgent and deeply practical conversation about immigration, deportation, and the role of the Church in moments of crisis.

Jasmin serves in missions and is part of Undivided, a faith-driven organization equipping churches to respond to injustice with courage and clarity. Together, Maya and Jasmin discuss how churches can protect parishioners from detainment and deportation, what faithful Christian witness looks like in the face of ICE enforcement, and how the Church has historically responded to immigration policy — both faithfully and inadequately.

    They also address:

    • How congregations can prepare for immigration enforcement

    • The biblical foundation for welcoming the stranger

    • The difference between political partisanship and Christian conviction

    • Practical steps churches can take right now

    • The emotional and spiritual toll of living under threat of deportation

If you are a pastor, ministry leader, or church member asking, "What can we actually do?" — this episode offers clarity and direction. This is a conversation about courage, compassion, and what obedience looks like when our neighbors are at risk.
