• TREAD TALKS: Best Kept Secret?
    2026/05/21

You can be incredible at what you do and still stay invisible.

This week, I’m sharing a powerful takeaway from my conversation with Ben Speich: your work doesn’t speak for itself.

Because while we’d love to believe that being great at our craft is enough, the truth is that visibility matters. The most talented coach, trainer, or business owner isn’t always the one getting noticed.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • Why humility can accidentally become invisibility
    • The mindset shift around self-promotion
    • Why “learning to brag a little” matters
    • How sharing your work serves people, not just your ego
    • One simple challenge to help you become more visible this week

You don’t need to become louder. But your work deserves an audience.

  • TREAD TALKS: Cheap is Expensive - Saving Now Will Cost You Later
    2026/05/18

In this episode, I talk about one of the most expensive mistakes I see in business: trying to do everything yourself in the name of “saving money.” It feels responsible. It feels scrappy. But underneath it’s often fear dressed up as discipline.

I share a conversation I had with Amber Briggle, where we unpacked how operating from scarcity kept her stuck in the early stages of growth longer than necessary. She believed she couldn’t afford help — so she did everything herself. And instead of saving money, she lost time, momentum, and opportunities she can’t get back.

We also talk about the parallel I see all the time in fitness: no one questions hiring a trainer when they want results faster. Business works the same way. Support isn’t a luxury — it’s a multiplier.

If you’ve been carrying everything in your business alone, this episode will help you reframe what “expensive” actually looks like.

Your One Tip: Identify one thing you’re still doing yourself out of habit or fear. Price out what it would cost to get support. Then ask yourself what it’s costing you not to.

  • Health Isn't a Hustle
    2026/05/19

You can work hard, eat “healthy,” squeeze in workouts, and still feel exhausted.

So what happens when what used to work… suddenly doesn’t?

This week I’m joined by registered dietitian nutritionist Jen Scheinman to unpack the overwhelm of modern wellness: conflicting advice, burnout, aging, hormones, energy crashes, and the pressure to optimize everything.

    We talk about:

    • Why “healthy” can look different for different people
    • The science behind energy and mitochondrial health
    • Why sleep may matter more than your diet
    • Small habits that create lasting change
    • How high-achievers can stop treating wellness like another job

Because your body isn’t failing you. It may just be asking for something different.

  • TREAD TALKS: They Can’t Help If You Don't Ask
    2026/05/14

You don’t build strength by standing next to people in the gym.

And you don’t build a business community by never asking for help.

Finding your people is one thing. Actually leaning on them? That’s harder.

In this episode of Tread Talk, I’m talking about why community matters in entrepreneurship — and why so many business owners struggle to truly rely on the people around them.

    We join networking groups.
    We attend events.
    We build connections.

But many of us still try to carry everything alone.

Using the analogy of a running club, I break down how real community works: not just proximity, but support, accountability, motivation, and momentum.

    T

his episode was inspired by my full conversation with Cynthia Moos, who shared that one of the biggest business strengths she wishes she had developed earlier was community — not as a bonus, but as a lifeline.

Look at your circle right now. Are you actually leaning on them… or just keeping them nearby without ever asking for help?

  • Handstands & Building a Business
    2026/05/12

What do handstands and entrepreneurship have in common? More than I realized.

In this episode, I sit down with Sarah Fennell-Cooper, owner of Happy Gym in Denver and founder of Preschool Coaches League, to talk about what building strong foundations really looks like — in movement, business, leadership, and growth.

    We talk about:

    • Why the foundations you build early matter more than you think
    • The reality of niching down and setting boundaries in business
    • What happens when your business suddenly depends fully on you
    • The difference between running an online business vs. a brick-and-mortar business
    • Building community and customer experience intentionally
    • Diversifying offers without losing your identity
    • Delegation, systems, hiring, and scaling
    • Why saying “no” is one of the most important entrepreneurial skills

This conversation is honest, funny, practical, and full of the kinds of lessons you only learn by actually building something.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you should diversify, niche down, scale, simplify, or completely reinvent what you’re doing — this one’s for you.

  • TREAD TALKS: Accountability is Not a Weakness
    2026/05/11

You may not want to admit that you work better when someone’s counting on you.

Maybe it feels like you should be able to motivate yourself. Like needing accountability means you’re not disciplined enough.

But even elite athletes don’t train alone.

Not because they can’t. Because they know what’s at stake when someone expects them to show up.

In this Tread Talk, I’m sharing:

    • why accountability isn’t a weakness
    • why so many entrepreneurs avoid asking for support
    • and how finding the right “training partner” in business can completely change your consistency

Plus, a simple challenge to help you stop waiting and start reaching out.

  • TREAD TALKS: The “Buckets of Three” Rule That Simplifies Your Priorities
    2026/05/07

You don’t need to do less.

You just need to do less at the same time.

If your brain feels like 47 tabs open… this one’s for you.

In this episode, I’m sharing a simple prioritization strategy that can completely change how you approach your work: the “buckets of three.”

Inspired by my conversation with Dr. Michael Bevis, this concept is all about narrowing your focus so you can actually build momentum—instead of constantly starting and stopping.

Because when everything is important… nothing gets done well.

    In this episode:

    • Why entrepreneurs struggle with focus
    • How too many ideas slow you down
    • A simple framework for better time management
    • How to create momentum in your business

    Your One Tip:
Choose your top 3 priorities for the week.
Ignore the rest until those are complete.

  • TREAD TALKS: End the Meeting on Time
    2026/05/06

    No overexplaining. No apologizing.
    Just practice the boundary.

    Do your calls run over?
Do you find yourself squeezing things in “real quick” all day long?

In this TREAD TALK, from The Fitness of Business, I’m breaking down time boundaries—why they matter for productivity, leadership, and energy, and how weak boundaries quietly lead to burnout, overcommitment, and inconsistent schedules.

If your calendar feels full but unfocused, this one’s for you.
