I've decided to re-brand the podcast into a more interactive conversation and I can't wait to share it with you!

Life has a way of sometimes kicking us in the ass to teach us some of our most profound lessons. At this age, we've figured out that it's during those trying times where we grow the most. I want to talk about it all with some of the most amazing women I know. I want to share those moving stories of navigating through grief, startovers, rebrands, new seasons, personal growth, resistance and personal victories with you!

Have you ever wondered why things are the way they are within your family? How & why certain things get passed down from generation to generation and why we don't break cycles when we know we should? Family systems and generational curses are more real than most people know, but those things don't have to define us! We are not stuck in that cycle! We can break those cycles!

Join Dr. Becky Wolery and I as we dive back into this interesting subject matter & more in part 2 of our series on Generational Trauma and How It Affects Us.

  • Generational Trauma and The Inherited Wounds We Pass Down, Part 1
    2026/04/02

Join Dr. Becky and I as we discuss what generational trauma and those long lasting family wounds can actually do within a family system. Between trauma, birth order and inherited traits, simply saying, "that's just how I am" is now seen as an excuse for not getting the help needed to grow and break negative generational cycles. It can be done and we owe it to our children to see that they're not tethered to those traits and cycles like we were.

  • Grieving the Loss Of Someone Who's Still Alive Part 2

This one was more difficult than most of our conversations because it's a subject that hits home for Dr. Becky & I both.

Stepping into the role of being a care-giver from being the child is probably one of the most difficult things we'll ever do in our lives. It changes the way our relationship functions, forever. We go from being the daughter to the decision maker, the cook, the housekeeper, the rule maker and keeper, the grocery getter, pill administrator, schedule keeper, appointment setter/taker, and on & on... Some people roll right into it; others run away....

Even though it's truly difficult to see your loved ones decline and potentially suffer, there's a lesson in all of that chaos. There are nuggets to be savored and remembered as you navigate this new normal. It'll never be the same... your relationship is what it is now, and it'll only get more difficult as they decline. Be grateful in the moments you get with them. Allow the old baggage to fall away and try to remember; they know not what they do at times and they need you now more than ever...

In the end, never forget that you became who you are AND you are here because of them... Be grateful in that and know, one day they'll be gone and you rest easy knowing how you showed up for them in their time of need....

    No regrets....
