As we reflect on Good Friday and celebrate the hope of Easter Sunday, this episode is a heartfelt dedication to a life that embodied love, justice, and reconciliation.
“Awareness is a powerful tool—and the beginning of change and healing.”
There are people whose lives radiate light—people worth knowing because of the good they bring into the world. Dr. John Perkins was one of those people. A profound revelation in my own journey, his life became a living example of what it means to walk in purpose, love deeply, and serve others selflessly.
At 95 years old, on March 13, 2026, Dr. Perkins transitioned from this earthly life into his eternal reward. His legacy, however, continues—impacting hearts, shaping communities, and calling us higher.
His life was not without hardship. He endured deep pain, discrimination, and brutality—yet chose love over retaliation. He chose to be a peacemaker. He chose purpose.
His message was clear and powerful:
“Love is the final fight.”
Through his work in reconciliation, relocation, and redistribution, he showed us a pathway toward unity—reminding us that we are one blood, one body, uniquely created, yet deeply connected.
In this episode, we reflect on:
- The power of awareness as the first step toward healing
- The biological and emotional impact of toxic stress and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
- The role of love—not just as a feeling, but as an action
- How we, as individuals and communities, can become part of the solution
At Grace To Overcome, Inc. (G2O), through the Hardwired to Heal™ initiative, we are committed to breaking the silence around toxic stress and empowering communities through education, awareness, and action.
Because love isn’t passive.
Love is intentional.
Love is transformative.
And as Dr. Perkins showed us—
Love is how we heal. Love is how we unite. Love is the final fight.
✨ Take a moment to reflect, share, and continue the ripple of love in your own life and community.
