On Sept. 19, 1981, the K.I.D.S Radio Show premiered on KSPI FM radio station broadcasting out of Stillwater, Oklahoma. The radio sitcom/musical expertly blended clever, kid-friendly comedic stories with children’s genre song selections. The weekly radio show was the brainchild of Carolyn Meyer, a Stillwater Public Schools music specialist and Kel Pickens, an account rep for the radio station.
