  • 026: From Surviving to Blooming: Stacey Burr on Healing After Trauma
    2026/04/07

On this episode of The Power Lunch Podcast, hosts Amy Sousa, Tracie Munce, and Lisa Carmichael talk with Stacey Burr, founder of the Ember in Bloom Foundation. Stacey shares how her own experience as a survivor of domestic abuse and a longtime yoga practitioner led her to create a trauma‑informed, holistic wellness nonprofit for women survivors and the advocates who support them.

Ember in Bloom offers yoga, meditation, sound healing, and Reiki to help women move out of survival mode, reconnect with their bodies, and begin to trust themselves again. Stacey also opens up about motherhood, self‑care without guilt, and the power of community in healing. Stacey shares how her experience as a survivor led her to create a space where women can reconnect with themselves through trauma-informed practices like yoga, meditation, and sound healing.

    • Healing is not about fixing yourself, it is about reconnecting to who you already are

    • Community is often the missing piece in the healing process
    • Self care is not selfish, it is necessary
