概要

Welcome to the Stableminded Podcast, hosted by Lisa Pulliam, founder of Stableminded.us, a therapist and coach turned mental health educator and well-being strategist. Lisa brings to each episode her passion for integrating Christian faith with neuropsychology in the pursuit of healing and growth. Through blending evidence-based practices that align with Biblical principles, Lisa has a way of speaking to the heart of the matter and simplifying the steps to move into authentic life transformation through heart, soul, mind, and body restoration.

Lisa is as much practical as she is inspirational with her real and raw confessions, along with incredible stories from her life with horses and work as an equine-assisted therapist, coach, and educator.

Whether you're struggling with your faith feeling flat, living life with a constant buzz of anxiety, wondering if ADHD is the reason you feel chaotic, worried that trauma is a bigger part of your story than you thought, or feeling like you'll never get out of the "stuck" cycle, the StableMinded Podcast is for you. • Permission to Change, Part 1
    2026/03/31

    You have permission to change.

The hard part is that when we change, it can unsettle relationships. People often relate to us based on who we have been, while God is inviting us into who we are becoming.

Can you relate? If so, this episode is for you!

It's time to explore, from multiple angles, how to give ourselves permission to change without becoming selfish and self-absorbed, reactive, or even a bit rebellious.

We'll hold space for exploring how to move forward while still showing empathy and compassion for the people adjusting to our transformation.

Yes, this is another episode coming straight from my lived experience, which I'm bringing to you because I wish I had this perspective a long time ago. So tune into this first part to hear what I've learned and then come back for Part 2, where I'll unpack for you a framework for assessing the seasons and stages of your transformation through a faith integrated with neuropyschological approach for your emotional, relational, and spiritual growth process.

  • ADHD in Women and Girls: Why This is Not a Fad But a Cry for Help and Better Care
    2026/03/17

If you have ever felt like you are capable and caring, but constantly behind, scattered, overwhelmed by anxiety that fights against your faith, or defeated by being accused that you're too _____ (sensitive, emotional, inconsiderate, bossy, etc), then this episode is for you.

We are talking about ADHD in women and girls, and why this isn't a fad but a cry for help and better care.

ADHD has gone undiagnosed in girls for far too long, dismissed by the stereotype of hyperactivity as it is seen in boys. In fact, one might say that where girls are underdiagnosed, boys are overdiagnosed. But for this episode, we focus on how ADHD presents in a female, why it is often missed, what is actually happening in the brain, and the practical supports that can make everyday life feel more manageable. Consider this your high-level overview seasoned with hope and encouragement to continue the exploration of ADHD and how it may be affecting you or the women and girls in your life.

If this resonates, share it with a friend who has been carrying shame or confusion. There is hope, and there are next steps.

  • Limits, Loss, and Holding Eternal Hope
    2026/03/03

If you’ve ever thought, “Why can’t I just be over this?” this one is for you. This episode of the StableMinded Podcast is a real-time, from-the-heart conversation about the roller coaster of emotions that come when we experience the limits of our humanity, the challenges of grief and loss, and what it means to hold the hope of eternity in mind.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • The confusing “both-and” of grief and relief
    • The grief we don’t name enough: accepting people’s limitations
    • The tension of living between what is and what we want

Sometimes what we are craving is actually a longing for heaven-on-earth.

When we step back and see our current situation from that vantage point, we're better set up to embrace our limits, release others from unrealistic expectations, process the loss and grief that comes both in life and death, and shift our perspective towards remembering that this life is temporary.

This is our journey from Eden to Eternity, where longing for beauty, perfection, and redemption beckons us onward.

Even so, we live in the not yet.

So if you’re walking through loss, disappointment, estrangement, or a relationship that will not become what you hoped, lean in and be encouraged.

And be ready to jot down the journal questions near the end to help you name what you need, release what you cannot control, and ask God for the grace to live your “new normal.”
